What caught our attention when shopping for refrigerators, was the salesman who told us that really one should have to work a little to get their ice cream-hence the bottom down freezer made a lot of sense. People open the fridge a lot more than a freezer, on average, and this way, all contents are readily visible. It is easier to clean, too.
Trays and shelves are movable. There is a good capacity for food, including 2 humidity controlled fruit and veggie drawers. Probably these are not used to their best advantage in our house. Ice maker was a great add on. Although the ice maker takes some of the capacity away, it is well worth it. Refrigerator is easy to more to clean, because it is on wheels. One fairly strong adult can move it.
This model has been going strong for about 10 years, and the only trouble has been with the seals around the freezer splitting. It seems to slide around and then rip, and not seal as well as it should.
Pros
– Freezer down instead of on top is great.
– Easy to organize.
Cons
– Have had seal around freezer door replaced 2 times and are ready for a third. Expensive and difficult to replace. The plastic tears over time
– Freezer space is a little small.
