Frigidaire FRT17B3A (16.5 cu. ft.) Top Freezer Refrigerator
Frigidaire has been a household name in appliances for over 50 years. One thing that has remained the same is their commitment to quality appliances.
I have a small kitchen in the house I own so finding a quality refrigerator that is not huge is becoming more and more of a problem.
I looked for over a week before I found this model. Unlike the other cheaply made small refrigerators the Frigidaire model offered an ice maker, three inside adjustable shelves and two crisper drawers.
You might expect that having a corner on the small refrigerator market that the price would be high, but it was not. It was less than $70 more than the cheaper no frills models.
Some of the other nice features are that the cooling coils on the back of the unit are sealed inside so you don’t have to worry about cleaning them. Another nice feature is that it has an easy leveling system that one person can do by themselves with the unit empty.
As for space, the total unit holds 16.5 cubic feet. With just over 3 cubic feet dedicated to the freezer section that is located on the top of the unit. The inside of the refrigerated compartment has two crisper drawers at the bottom that can be pulled out for cleaning.
The lightweight wire shelves can be adjusted so that you can customize sizes to accommodate just about anything. The door has two shelves with an enclosed butter tray for extra storage. The on-door shelves are even wide enough to hold a gallon of milk, freeing up more of the main compartment’s space.
Pros
• Good refrigerator for the price
• Ice maker puts out cubes quickly
Cons
• Very lightweight, moves around on slick floors
• Only offered in white |
