Energy Star® – Advanced Freezer Technology – also in Black and Bisque

The Kenmore Elite 77242 refrigerator is a good unit. It has a water dispenser with it’s own filter.

The front panel will display a warning to you when the filter needs to be replaced. The panel also allows you to easily change the temperature of either the fridge or freezer.

It also allows you to set an alarm that notifies you when a door has been left open.

This unit has the fridge on top with the French doors and the freezer on bottom with a tilting door so you do not have to fully open it to just grab something.

The freezer has an automatic ice maker that has 3 settings for the cube sizes.

The best features of this fridge is the space available in the fridge and the electronic pad. Having the French doors, you can easily see inside. If you know something is on one side, you only have to open one side. And setting the temperatures and have the warnings is a great feature.

The downside to this fridge is that the water dispenser can only give you about 2 glasses of very cold water at a time. I wish the holding tank was larger.

My model is the smaller version due to size constraints and it does not contain the large deli tray like the larger model; I wish it had this feature.
